What a fantastic day we had for the Spooky Walk n Wag event today at Six Flags over Georgia.  The weather was lovely, mild with a cool morning and then a bit of sun peaking through by late morning.  This is the third year of the event and the biggest crowd ever.  SO MANY dogs of all different shapes and sizes and breeds, and a wild variety of costumes.  Some were purchased and some were clearly custom made but everyone looked awesome.

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and chatting with so many people after the costume parade and then during the costume contest.  Tomorrow I’ll post more images but here is a teaser from one of the finalists in the costume contest.   This is Chloe the Princess Pomeranian with her very detailed and impressive costume and ……transportation?!  Kudos to her humans Glenn Christian and Karen Lee-Christian on outdoing themselves as usual with Chloe’s ensemble.

Recently I got the opportunity to combine two things I love:  Crossfit and dog portraits!!  My friends Vanessa and Dom work out at Crossfit Resurgens and have three cool rescue dogs.  So we met up at the Box to shoot some Crossfit themed photos.

For most of us this the position you’ll find us in immediately post WOD:  belly flop on the mat, tongue lolling.  Nice.

Why crawl out of the tire yourself when you can make your mom flip it for you?  Exactly.

It’s Friday……hallelujah. Fun outtake from Medo’s photoshoot yesterday. His mom Brooke brought him in for studio portraits and he showed off some solid clicker training results……such a good boy! And in mid-bark his ears get some impressive ear flappage, which just tickled me to pieces. Kind of reminded me of Sally Field’s headgear as The Flying Nun.

The new sample metal desk print arrived today and it is gorgeous. Words really don’t do it justice. The finish is so rich and saturated that the colors pop right off the metal. The image is printed onto aluminum for a sleek, modern look. These smaller sizes come ready to display with a built in easel back. They are perfect for a desk, a great way to show off your furry baby to visitors to your office or coworkers.

Behind the Scenese shot from my super fun session with my friends Dom and Vanessa and their dogs at Crossfit Resurgens where we all train. Well, where the humans train, not the dogs. My vision was getting a coordinated shot of all three dogs sitting on plyo boxes set up like award ceremonies. Appropriate, since the summer Olympics are going on right now. The guys did not think much about this idea. We tried, we REALLY did–no dice! There were so many other great shots I had to let this go, but it was a valiant attempt.
