When Russell first asked me about scheduling a session for his dog Zeus, I agreed, envisioning an afternoon at the local park.  Time went by and schedules and life developments pushed plans to the back burner, but eventually the subject came up again.  This time the conversation went into more detail and a plan to capture a “Day in a Life” at the family farm was hatched.  Since I have wonderful memories of spending time in rural Georgia with my extended family, as well as several summers working at a Ranch in upstate NY, I was more than happy to leave the city behind for a day and smell the country air.

We set off from Atlanta mid-morning, stopped for supplies, then made a stop in Crawfordville to take a few photos around town.  Then we headed out to the Greene Acres, and the previously laid back Zeus was up and excited with his head out the window once we approached the property.  Despite the 100+ degree heat and humidity we had a great time with tractors, all terrain vehicles, sticks, swimming holes, and wide open spaces.  Both the two legged and four legged guys were definitely in their element.  The collection of images reflects the landscape, activities, neighbors, and the aura that makes this place such a special retreat.
